About the experiment
The Great American Eggsperiment is a two-year living digital experiment exploring how American behavior, beliefs, and collective experiences shape what we become. It is an interactive, longitudinal digital art and social-observation project created by ArandMedia. Between the 2026 midterm elections and the 2028 presidential election, a digital egg physically develops in response to documented observations of how Americans behave, disagree, cooperate and recover.
Timeline
- Now: preview. The egg is on display exactly as it is before anything touches it. Nothing is shaping it yet, and nothing here is real-world data.
- November 3, 2026, 12:00 AM CST: scheduled start of official incubation. Incubation begins only when the creators activate it, after the measurement method is finalized and published; until then the egg does not change.
- November 7, 2028, 12:00 AM CST: the egg hatches into an organism generated from its accumulated developmental history, revealed to everyone at once.
Who made it
